Biography

Robert Scarlett was born on April 13, 1773 in Hanover, Cornwall, Jamaica, son of Robert Scarlett (~1737–1798) and Elizabeth Anglin (~1747–1828).[1]

Robert (22) married Mary White (15) (born before 1780) in 1796 in Easby, near Richmond, Yorkshire, England.[2]

Their children were:

He became a doctor in 1795 after studying at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.[3][4] He was a Member of the Assembly in St James, Jamaica, 1803-1807.[5]

Robert died and was buried on 5 June 1818 in Wotton, Surrey, England, aged about 44.[6]
