Biography
William 'Preston' was apparently Isaac and Manerva Shell's youngest surviving child. No record found for William in 1880, but the William P. Shell who married in 1883 in Madison County appears to be the same man. He and wife Ida Doyle had one child that survived, but Ida was apparently institutionalized and the marriage was over by 1920. In that year 'Preston William, divorced, was living with his brother Jesse. 1930 shows a William F. Shell, divorced, from a marriage at age 24(~1886),
