Biography

Heinrich Schmidt was born on December 15, 1889 to David and Susanna (Richard) Schmidt at Kana, Russia. He married Ottilie "Olga" Hiltz on December 28, 1910, at Kana, Russia. They emigrated to the United States in 1913, after which he went by the name Henry. They were farmers. They were the parents of Anna Erna (1912-2005), William (1913-2001), John Presley (1915-2002), Bennett (1916-1999), Mary Marie (1918-2007), Edward (1920-1990), Eleanor (1922-1984), George (1924-1986), Wilma (1930-2018), Robert Eugene (1931-1982), Donald Lee (1935-2011) and two sons whose birth years are not know, Theodore and Walter. Henry died in Greeley, Colorado, at the age of 89 on February 11, 1979, and was buried in Mizpah Cemetery at Platteville, Colorado.
