Biography

Viola was born March 30th, 1927 in Waverly, South Dakota to Frank Schonberger & Violet Sterry.^[1] She married Leonard Moes in Kranzburg, South Dakota on March 5th, 1946.^[2] He died September 5th, 1988.^[3] She was a homemaker, and enjoyed working on puzzles and crocheting. Moes was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Junction City. She lived in Sylmar, California until 1974, when she moved to Alpine. Moes settled in Junction City in 1990.

Viola died of a heart attack on August 17th, 2002 in Junction City, Oregon.^[4]

Survivors include three sons, Doug of San Fernando, California, Dale of Seattle, and Don of Junction City; a daughter, Debbie LaScala of Fort Mohave, Arizona; two sisters, Patty Raderschadt of Watertown and Jean Woolworth of Volga, South Dakota; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. An infant son, Gary, died previously and a son, Dean died this year.

Viola is buried at the Saint Rose Cemetery in Monroe, Oregon.^[5]
