Biography

Egbert was born in 1723, son of Samuel and Nelly (Fini) Schoonmaker.

In 1752, he married a distant cousin, Geetruy Schoonmaker. They had 10 children:^[1]

Egbert Schoonmaker was a Captain in the War of the Revolution.

Egbert and his wife Gertrude Schoonmaker are named in the DAR patriot index re his father's patriotic service to New York. ^[2]
