Birth and Parents

Alvin (Schott) Martin was born in Minnesota.

Alvin, the son of John Matthew Schott and Alma May Burt was born on 9 May 192 at Utica, Minnesota.[1]

Marriages and Children

Alvin was married twice. He married 1) Belva Bonita Buckel (1912-1940) on 19 March 1932 at Douglas, Oregon. They had three daughters and one son:

  1. Donna June Martin (b. 1934; d. 2010) m. say 1955 Martin William Callan III (1929-1995)
  2. Marvel Louise Martin (b. 1935; d. 1941)

Belva Bonita (Buckel) Martin died in 1940 at Oregon.

Alvin married 2) Minnie May Fenley (1910-2003) on 9 May 1941 at Sweet Home, Linn, Oregon.[2]

Death and Burial

Alvin Mathew (Schott) Martin died on 21 November 2005 in his 93rd year at Coos, Oregon.[3]

Research Note

  • About the time Alvin married his first wife, Belva Buckel, his LNAB showed up as "Martin" and all succeeding records have him and his children listed with the surname Martin. There is no record of a formal name change.
