Death and Burial
Alvin Mathew (Schott) Martin died on 21 November 2005 in his 93rd year at Coos, Oregon.[3]

About the time Alvin married his first wife, Belva Buckel, his LNAB showed up as "Martin" and all succeeding records have him and his children listed with the surname Martin. There is no record of a formal name change.
