Biography

Barbra Schmisch came to America when she was 12 years old from France, she had one sister who became sea sick and died during the ocean travel, [Judy Goche Wagner]

It is believed that Barbara had three sisters and one brother. She had a sister Mary who married Henry Benardy (from Family Tree)

The father of Mary Schumish Bernardy visited her in Black Hawk County, Iowa and died while visiting. He was buried in the old part of St. Mary's Cemetary in Gibertville, Iowa (Excerpt from the Family Tree Book by Lawrence Bernardy, Great Great Grandson of Mary.)

Barbara died at her daughter's Mrs. John Weiler's home in Morris, Minnesota.

Her brother John was living in Kansas at the time of Barbara's death.
