Biography
Private Gideon Scott served with 16th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.
Gideon Scott is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A101473.
Gideon Scott was born on December 12, 1755 in Ridgefield, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony. He was the son of David Scott and Hannah Smith.[1] Gideon married Anna Burt on October 17, 1779 in Ridgefield, Fairfield, Connecticut.[2] He may have had a second wife named Keziah Sherman.
Gideon served in the American Revolution as a Private with the 16th Regiment, Connecticut Militia.[3]
Gideon died on March 28, 1826 in Ovid, Seneca County, New York and is bured at the Scott Farm Cemetery.[4]
