Biography
Grissel was the daughter of Sir Walter Scott of Branxholm & Buccleuch by his 2nd wife Janet, daughter of John Betoun of Creich. Following Lord Borthwick's death she remarried before 1593 Walter Cairncross of Colmslie, Berwickshire.[1][2]
