Arthur was born on the 16 November 1909 in the Waimate Plains, Taranaki, New Zealand, he is the son of Duncan MacDonald Scott and Helena Otilla (Rechenberg) Scott.[1]

He married Winifred Ida (Brant) Scott about 1933 in New Zealand. [2]They had at least one child;

Arthur’s main occupation in his life was working in cheese factories, or being a manager of dairy factories in Taranaki, New Zealand, in 1935 - 1938, he was a cheesemaker,

- Living at Skeets Road Hawera Taranaki in the years of 1949 - 1957, Dairy Factory Manager.
- Arthur was living at 47 Normanby Road, Manaia, Taranaki, 1963, as a manager, then at Manu Road Okaiawa Taranaki in 1969 as a Factory supervisor, he retired and was living at Waikiki Road, Hawera in Taranaki in the years of 1972 - 1981, he passed away in 1998.
Death
Arthur passed away on the 14 May 1998 in New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand, age 88. [3] He was buried on the 16 May 1998 at the Hawera Cemetery, South Taranaki, New Zealand. [4][5]
