Biography

Thomas was born in 1910. He was the son of Pierce Scott and Arene Green. He passed away in 1981.

Uncle Dub had a bbq set up that would be the envy of most. Two 55 gallon drums, split in half, hinged set on a trailer. One drum was hooked up to a propane tank, included a deep fryer, grill. The other was a wood or charcoal spit and smoker. The first and last time I saw it, he was frying up fish that Daddyor Jerry Jones had caught. Also fried potatoes. A young goat was on the spit.

Research Notes

I personally knew Uncle Dub, Aunt Rethie, and Vera Jane. When Mama started doing genealogy, she asked Dub who his mother was. He answered with "Arene" . More questions brought Pierce, and the lost baby Ophelia.
