Husband of Mary Jane Turner and father to 13 children: Daniel, David, Maryette, Anna Jane, Sarah C., James Henry, Carrie E., Margaret Rebecca, Lewis Reese, Arthur Melvin, John Hull, Samuel Sherred, Joseph. Several buried in this cemetery. His brother Comfort is buried nearby. Although there is a GAR flag at his grave, record of only a 3 month stint in the GAR has been found by me. His son David Porter was a Civil War veteran and his son Daniel Warren was killed in 1865 at the Reduction of Fort Fisher in NC. He is buried here along side his father. See street side of stone.
Gravesite Details
Wife, Mary Jane Turner Scull, supposedly buried here. Suspect she shares site and stone with son Lewis next to Reece.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Reese by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.

I have found a binder called “A Short history of the Scull Family” from about 1959. This is my step-grandfather’s family. If interested in a copy, please let me know.
