Maureen was the daughter of Lawrence Seager and Jean Askham.
She married Bertram Millin on 2 June 1956 with both father's consent. He was 19 years old and she was 17 years old. Their witnesses were W.A.L. Goswell and C. Haffenden. At the time of their marriage he lived in 210, Brand Road and she lived in 48 Cromwell Road, Durban. [1]
48 Cromwell Road and 210 Brand Road are around the corner of each other. That is why Maureen and Bertram knew eachother from a young age.
After her first husband passed away, she married George Brocket on 31 August (which year?). They lived at the moth cottages in Dundee when George passed away.
At the time of her marriage she was a clerk.
At a young age Maureen was a model for Dunlop tyres. Maureen was a qualified Cordon Blue chef. She catered for many private functions and weddings. Her wedding cakes and fruit cakes were the best. She performed in drama in the theatres. She belonged to the woman’s institute (WI) and bridge club.
Together they had 4 children.
She passed away at the age of 76 years in 2015 at the frail care centre in Dundee.
Het ashes were scattered in Midmar Dam, Howick, South Africa. The same dam where she scattered the ashes of her first husband.
