Lydia "Selman" was christened by her parents William (a carpenter) and Ann on February 23rd 1873 in Lacock, Wiltshire^[1]

In 1881, 8 year old Lydia is living with her parents in Lacock, Wiltshire^[2]

In 1891, 18 year old unmarried Lydia is working as a house maid for Thomas Roger Watkin in Lambeth^[3]

In 1901, 28 year old unmarried Lydia is working as a house maid for Thomas Roger Watkin in Brixton Road, Lambeth^[4]

In 1911, 38 year old Lydia is still unmarried and working as a housemaid for the Watkins^[5]

Research Notes

Lydia's surname is sometimes "Selman", sometimes "Sellman". In one instance (the 1901 census) it is incorrectly recorded as "Tillman", at least by FamilySearch...
