21 February 1822 Lincoln County Marriage Bond, David Setzer-Elinor Sherrill. Eleanor "Ellen" (Sherrill) Setzer died 1845: "Ellen, Wife of David Setzer, Died April 9, 1845 45th year"; she was buried at the Setzer Cemetery in Fallstown Township, Iredell County, and later moved to the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.[1]
Spouse 2: Frances "Fanny" Thomas (27 May 1809-22 December 1875)
Married about 1847. She and David have a joint tombstone at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Iredell County.
David Setzer was one of the original seven organizers of Bethel Baptist Church in 1860, and he donated the land upon which the original church building was built.[2]
David Setzer executed his Iredell County will on [blank] May 1882.[3] His estate entered probate 2 June 1884.[4] He is buried at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.[5]
