Biography

George was born in 1832. He was the son of John Sevier and Rhoda Overstreet. He passed away in 1863.

I have heard the story that George Washington Sevier Sr went to Missouri with some of his brothers in the 1850s but that he returned to Tennessee. He was obviously back in Tennessee by the 1860 census. He also married in Fentress County Tennessee in 1860.
