Lester L. (Red) Sexton, age 92, passed from this life into his heavenly home on January 1, 2009 at 4:00 a.m. He was a native of Rosedale, LA and a resident of Gramercy, LA. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a retiree of Kaiser Aluminum. He was the proud owner of Gramercy Wood Products. The memories of Lester will continue to live through those touched by his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Madeline Lucia Sexton, daughters Jo Ann (husband Clarence (Todd) Poche ; Georgia Sexton Hymel, son George (wife Gail Rodie Patterson), daughter-in-law Gwen Patterson and son-in-law Tim Hymel. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Tosty Fortenberry. He was preceded in death by his son, Vince Patterson, grandson Todd M. Poche; parents John and Virginia Sexton, brothers Leland and Gerald Sexton, sisters Amus Zeigher and Daisy Greer.
