Joseph was Choctaw.

Joseph was born 17 Feb 1906 at Summerfield, Sugar Loaf, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory[2], the son of Joseph Sexton and Ora Turner. Joseph passed away 1 Mar 1994 at Hughson, Stanislaus, California. He is buried at the Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, Stanislaus County, California.[3]

On 12 April 1906, John E. Turner was appointed Guardian of Joseph Sexton.[4][5][6]
