Biography

Berta was Choctaw.

Berta was born in 1889 at Summerfield, Sugar Loaf, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, the daughter of Thompson Sexton and Lillie Kennedy.

On 1 December 1902, Thomas J. Sexton was appointed Guardian for all of Thompson D. Sexton's minor heirs.[2] They are daughters Berta, Irene, Lela and sons Charles and Joseph.[3][4] On 8 August 1904, Mathew H. Harris was appointed Guardian for Berta, Irene, Lela and Joseph.[5][6][7]
