Biography

According to the inscription on her tombstone, Elizabeth was born Nov. 2, 1754 to Johan and Eva Schaeffer and was the wife of Peter Klinefelter. ^[1]

^[2]"Peter Klinefelter was a Revolutionary soldier who died in 1796. His wife Elizabeth (Schaeffer) Klinefelter died in 1842."

An interesting family connection to note is that Peter Klinefelter married Elizabeth (Shaffer) Klinefelter the sister of Johann Adam Schaeffer who married Peter’s sister Elizabeth (Kleinefelter) Schaffer (i.e., the spouse's sibling was the spouse of their sibling).
