A. C. Shannon Dies of Gas Fumes Houston - Supposed to Have Been Asleep. Special to The News.

Houston, Tex., Dec. 25. - A man by the name of A, C. Shannon, aged 42 years, was found dying from the effects of gas in a room at 1511 Congress avenue. Saturday afternoon. He was hurried to St. Joseph's Infirmary, where he died at 6:10 o'clock p. m. It is suppose that he was asleep and became overcome from the gas, which was found escaping from the gas jet in the room. He Is survived by a brother, E. E. Shannon, who runs the rooming house at the above address, and a sister, Mrs. A. F. Evans of Wagner Ok. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock with interment in the German Cemetery.
