Biography

Jane Sharp, daughter of John Sharp and Ann Boyd, was born about 1778 in Virginia, United States. She died 5 July 1845 (67yr 1mo 9ds) in Virginia and was buried at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Fishersville, Augusta County, Virginia, United States. Her husband James was buried there in 1828 [1]

She married James BLACK, son of Samuel BLACK Sr and Jean/Jane PORTER, on 4 Jan 1799 at Augusta County, VA; children (surname BLACK):[2][3]

Research Notes

On 2 Jul 1816, Jane was called daughter Jane Black by the will of John Sharpe, with son-in-law James Black as executor.[4]

On 12 Feb 1825, Jane was called sister Jean Black in the will of Thomas Sharpe. It also mentioned Sam son of James Black (Jane's husband) at Augusta County, VA.[5]
