Biography

Joseph was born on 13 September 1825 in Mandeville, St. Tammany, Louisiana. He was the son of William Sharp and Nancy Spell. He married Caroline Kimball in St. Tammany, Louisiana on 26 June 1847.

In the 1850 Census, Joseph was listed as age 25 living with his with his wife Caroline, 21, and 1 child, Charles J., age 2, in St. Tammany parish, St. Tammany, Louisiana.

According to the 1880 Census, Joseph's age was listed as 56 and his occupation was a Farmer. He was living with his wife Caroline, 49, and 9 children in Sandy Ford, St Tammany, Louisiana. Their children were listed as: James, 24, Isabella, 23, Juliette, 22, Angus, 20, Edward, 18, William, 16, Camile, 14, Bolivar, 12, and Milton, 11.

Joseph died in 1899 in Louisiana.
