Maiden name of mother of Ann (Phillips) Blankman was Sharpless, who had 8 children including Ann with Ann's father (no given name recorded) Phillips.[2]
Geneology of the Sharpless Family (entry 188 on page 294) shows that Hannah married William Phillips from England on 27 Sept 1794. In 1798 to escape yellow fever they moved from Philadelphia to Hannah's brother John Sharples' home in Concord. William there carried on his trade as a saddler and failed in an attempt the dry goods business. In 1813 he went to England to look after an estate and was never heard from again by his family. [3]
