Thomas Sharples was born in about 1815 in Lancashire.
Thomas married Elizabeth Fogg on 10 Feb 1839 at St Wilfred's Church in Farnworth near Prescot (which is now St Luke's). Both were of full age (21 or more) and living in Whiston, and neither had been married before. Thomas was a wheelwright. Their fathers were Thomas Sharples (wheelwright) and Thomas Fogg (blacksmith). The witnesses were Edward Fleetwood and Elizabeth Fleetwood.
Their daughter Ellen Sharples was born in about 1839 in Whiston, Prescot, Lancashire. She was christened on 29 Sep 1839 at St Mary the Virgin Church in Prescot, Lancashire.
Their daughter Mary Jane Sharples was born in 1845 in Tarbock, Lancashire. Her birth was registered in the third quarter of 1845, in Prescot district.
Elizabeth died in about 1850, aged 30. Her death was registered in the first quarter of 1850, in Prescot district.
