Evaline Shaw, daughter of John Shaw and Mary Ann Elizabeth Nethercott, ^[1][2] was born on 2 October 1887 in Lancashire. ^[1][2][3] She was baptised on 9 November 1887 at St Luke, Blackburn, Lancashire. ^[2]

Residence
On 5 April 1891 in Witton Parade, Witton, Lancashire, with her parents John Shaw and Mary A. E. Shaw, her siblings Alexander N. Shaw aged 8, Bessie J. Shaw aged 13, Thomas Shaw aged 7, William G. Shaw aged 6 and Nellie Shaw aged 2 and a servant Ellen Murphy aged 19. ^[1]
