"Richard Shaw (1673-1729), of Balinderry, Co. Tipperary, b. 1693, eldest son of William and Elizabeth Shaw, pre-deceased his father; m. in January 1696 Judith Briscoe, dau. of Edward Briscoe of Timakilly, County Kilkenny.
They had at least six sons and three daughters:
