Edgar was born in Quebec, Canada in August of 1870[1][2], the son of Edgar Sydney Shaw and Seraph Glidden Wilcox.[3] In the 1930 census[4] he gives his year of immigration as 1890 and is listed as a naturalized citizen. He married Agnes in Vermont in 1899.[5] They had one son, Donald, born 1904 in New Hampshire. Edgar was a printer. He died in 1937.
