Biography

James B.[1] Shear was born 1819 in Putnam, New York, to Christian Gans Shear and Elizabeth Blair.[2]

He married Margaret French around 1853,[3][4][5][6][7] and they had the following children:

  • Ella Jane Shear, b. 1853
  • Elizabeth Alice Shear, b. 1855
  • Annabelle J. Shear, b. abt. 1858
  • James Blair Shear, b. 1863

James died on 24 March 1883.[8]
