Anna was born on 29 August 1884 in Vermillion, Indiana, USA. She was the daughter of John K Shelly and Martha Goff.^[1]

In the 1900 census Anna (age 15) was living in Highland, Vermillion, Indiana, USA.^[1]

When Anna was 21 she married Joseph Archie Stephens on 29 November 1905 in Fountain County, Indiana, USA. The couple had 5 children: Doris Jackson, John Robert Stephens, Gladys Ruth Stephens, Mildred Stephens and Clay Hubert Stephens.^[2][3]

Anna died at the age of about 79 on 9 February 1964 and was buried in 1964 in Fleming, Logan, Colorado, USA.^[4]
