Biography
Robert was born about 1802 in Henrico County, Virginia. He was the son of Walter Shelton.
Research Notes
I adopted this profile which did not have birth or death dates so not much to go on. His sister was in Hardeman County, Tennessee with her husband by 1831. I found a Robert W. Shelton in Hardeman County, Tennessee on the 1830 census. I am not positive it is the same Robert but he is listed 20 - 30 years of age which would be about right. I listed the census record under sources but I am not sure the record actually belongs to this Robert Shelton.
