It is not known where husband joseph Cyphers or his son John William Cyphers is buried at. His wife Margaretta (May) Shepard is buried in an unmarked grave in Evergreen Cemetery, Muskegon, Muskegon, Michigan USA. [6] They did live next to John & Betsie (Elizabeth) Shepard in 1870 per the US Census. Their daughter, Josephine Shepard, and her husband John Harkness adopted Minnie I. Cyphers at some point as noted in the Muskegon Chronicle Newspaper article dated December 22, 1928. The adoption was most likely informal in nature.
Minnie Isabell Cyphers was born in 1869 to parents Joseph & Margaretta Cyphers according to the 1870 US census for Dalton, Muskegon County, Michigan.
