Biography

• Daniel Sherwood was born on 05 April 1708 and baptized on 27 June 1708,^[1] and died on 20 Feb 1784. ^[2] He married Martha Hull, b. 15 Jun 1701 d. 19 Sept 1782. Daughter of Cornelius Hull and Sarah Sanford.

• He held office of Constable of Fairfield for more than twenty years, and in 1749 was appointed Collector of Rates, the duties of which office he performed for ten years. In 1755 he was "School Committee" of Hulls Farms. ^[3]

His inventory was recorde in 1785.^[4]

In 1784, receipt of the distribution to his heirs was signed by Ebenezer Perry, Couch Edwards, Ann Merwin, Naomi Edwards, Martha Perry, Sarah Sherwood, Seth Merwin, and Esther Sanford.^[5]
