Harry Bishop Shibley Sr. was born on September 2, 1868 in Arkansas, United States. He was a son of William Henry Harrison Shibley and Esther Ann Cook. He married Katherina Alexina Strauss, and they had several children, including Harry Bishop Shibley Jr., who was born on March 2, 1901. Harry Bishop Shibley Sr. worked as a farmer and lived in Parker Township, Montgomery County, Kansas. He died on November 3, 1962 at the age of 94 and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas.
