W. W. Shirley and Ida Belle Sanders were married on September 11, 1890 in Hot Spring, Arkansas. She was 20 and so was William. They were both born in De Roche, Hot Spring, Arkansas. ^[1]

Census

1860 Census. William was was living at home with his parents, Eli and Mary, along with eight other siblings in Cedar Township, Clark, Arkansas. Eli was 40 and Mary was 38. This census shows that everyone was born in Tennessee except for Sabra, Mary, Emily and William and they were born in Arkansas.^[2]
