Biography

Francis was born in 1783 at Littlebourne, Kent, England and baptised on the 14th September 1783 at St. Vincent, Littlebourne, Kent, England, the son of Francis Shooler and Carolina Shooler^[1].

On the 19th October 1810, Francis married Mary Coleman at St. Sidwell, Exeter, Devon, England^[2]. (Mary was possibly the daughter of Richard and Sarah Coleman of Chartham, Kent)

Francis' first wife Mary Ann died aged 45 years in 1834 at was buried on the 16th October 1834 at St. Dunstan, Canterbury, Kent, England^[3].

On the 1st December 1834, Francis Shoveler, widower and Harriet Leake, widow, were married at St. Peter, Canterbury, Kent, England. Witnessed by William Evans, Isabella Young and Jane Stevens.^[4]

Francis' second wife Harriet died aged 57 years in 1854 in Canterbury, Kent, England and was buried on the 28th April 1854 at St. Margaret, Canterbury, Kent, England.

Francis passed away in 1862.
