Julia Shoults is the daughter of Philip Henry Shoults and Caroline (Boren) Shoults.
Julia married Joseph W. McDaniel, son of William McDaniel (1834 -1920) and Mary (Richter) McDaniel.
Julia and Joseph are the parents of children, including the following:
- Joseph Bealer McDaniel, born January 25, 1889, in Meramec, Jefferson County, Missouri, died December 2, 1949, in Elko, Elko County, Nevada, married Hedvig Valentine Lòfdahl (1889 - 1973)
- William R. McDaniel, born April 1, 1890, in Meramec, Jefferson County, died September 12, 1962, in Saint Louis, St Louis County, Missouri, married Lottie Leora Barton (1891 - 1974)
Julia's first husband, Joseph W. McDaniel was two decades older than she. Born on September 25, 1857, in Meramec, Jefferson County, Missouri, he died October 1, 1925, and is buried in Clover Valley Cemetery (South), in Wells, Elko County, Nevada.
Julia married secondly, Herman Kuhno, born November 14, 1861, in Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri, died September 11, 1934, in Saint Louis, St Louis City, Missouri
Julia survived her second husband, as well and died July 9, 1944. She is buried with Herman, in the New Saint Marcus Cemetery and Mausoleum, in Affton, St. Louis County Missouri
