Jonathan Shreve was born about 1696 in Springfield, Burlington County, New Jersey, to parents Caleb Shreve and Sarag (Areson) Shreve. He married Hannah Hunt, DOB and parentage unknown, on February 4, 1720, by Friends Ceremony, Chesterfield Meeting, Burlington County, New Jersey. ^[1] He died intestate before 3 May 1756, when the inventory of his estate (£28.15.2) was conducted by Thomas Hall and Abram Shreve. John Shreve paid a bond 4 May 1756 to serve as administrator, with Thomas Hall as fellowbondsman.^[2]
