Mrs. Georgia Tilley passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roger Slusher, Independence, Missouri on Wednesay, July 13, 1977, after a lengthy illness. Graveside services were held Saturday, July 16, 1977, in the Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas.

Reverend Dale Emery of the United Methodist Church conducted the burial services.

Georgia Ethel Tilley was born at Blue Springs, Missouri on March 29, 1887, the second daughter of William Douglas and Emma (Webster) Shrout. She was united in marriage to Charles A. Tilley, Frankfort, Kansas on December 22, 1910. To this union were born three children, Lucille Musil, John D. Tilley, Baker Florida, Violet Slusher, Independence,Missouri. Their married life was spent on a farm northwest of Frankfort, Kansas. After the death of her husband in 1931, Mrs. Tilley remained on the farm until 1942 when she moved to Independence, Missouri, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She is survived by her son and two daughters, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Lily Bailey and Mrs. Irene Shackelford, Independence, Missouri; three brothers, Frank Shrout, Centerview, Missouri, Phil and Hubert Shrout, Rich Hill, Missouri and a number ofnieces and nephews."
