Notes
DIED
Mrs. Elizabeth Hoyle, mother of Rev. M. H. Hoyle of this place, died from paralysis at 91 years, 5 months and 1 day old on May 18, 1887, in great peace, at the residence of her son Wm. B. Hoyle near Polksville in Cleveland county, N.C., 14 miles north of Shelby. Rev. Mr. Hoyle has our deepest sympathy in this his sore affliction, in losing one that is dearest to man on earth, but it must be a great consolation to him of having the faith to meet her in that land of eternal happiness.
