Luther Fred Sigmon was born in 1911 to Luther Alonso Sigmon and Sue Ella McGee. He married Lola Mae Morrow on December 1, 1934. Luther was 23 years old and Lola Mae was 24.
The 1940 census record indicates that Luther Jr. was 28 and Lola Mae was 31. They had a four year old daughter, Carylon Sigmon. Both Luther and Lola May listed their occupations as knitters in a hosiery mill. The family was living in Clines Township, Catawba Co, North Carolina.
Upon his death, Luther's marital status was divorced. He worked in construction and died at age 57. He is buried in Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church cemetery, Claremont, Catawba Co, North Carolina.
