Increase married Abigail Fowler (1646 - 1733) on 22 Mar 1671 in Springfield.[2][3]daughter of Ambrose Fowler and is wife Jane (Alvord). Abigail was born March 1, 1646/7 at Windsor, Connecticut.[1]

Increase Sikes Jr. was born January 1, 1674/5; married Mary Knowlton and (2nd) Mary Warriner.
Samuel Sikes was born March 27, 1680; married Mary Foote.
Phoebe Sikes was born February 21, 1681/2; died March 15, 1682 at Springfield.
James Sikes was born March 14, 1682/3; died May 24, 1683 at Springfield.
James Sikes was born March 27, 1684 and died at Springfield.
Benjamin Sikes was born December 5, 1685 and died June 30, 1687 at Springfield.
Increase, a carpenter, farmer, logger, and laborer was routinely employed by Major William Pynchon, the primary mover and shaker in Springfield and a patentee of the Massachusetts Bay Company. With his brother Victory, Increase contracted to build a barn, 52 by 24 feet for Pynchon in Springfield. On November 23, 1670, he agreed to carry corn and barrels down the Great River (Connecticut) to Hartford for him, as well.[1]
Increase Sikes became a Freeman on May 7, 1684 in Springfield, Massachusetts.[1]
He was selectman of the town of Springfield, Massachusetts in 1721,1722,1724,.[4]
Increase Sikes died March 24, 1712.[5][6] His wife Abigail died June 19, 1733 at Springfield.[1]
