Biography

Rosa Silveira was born in Portugal.

Rosa de Lourdes Silveira was born at ten in the evening on the 17th of March 1893 in Manadas, Sao Jorge, Azores, Portugal.^[1] She was the legitimate daughter of Manoel "Manuel" Silveira Alvornaz, of Our Lady of Help, in San Roque County, on the island of Pico, and Anna Isabel da Silveira, of the parish of Santa Bárbara (now Manadas).^[1] Rosa was baptized on the 19th of March with her Godparents Manoel José da Silveira and Maria da Luz, his wife, present.^[1]

Rosa married Francisco Maria Zina (1886 - 1970) on 22 Mar 1914 in Ludlow, Hampden, Massachusetts, USA. Their son was Francisco Maria Zina Jr. (1925 - 1990).

Rosa died on 9 Sep 1967 in Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts aged 74.
