Albrecht, 78, of Kansas City, MO, departed this earth on Friday, March 26, 2004, at Research Medical Center. Family surrounded her as she passed on to the Peaceful Gardens of Heaven. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Visitation will precede the services 12noon-1 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Jeanne was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 11, 1926 to Walter and Margaret Silverthorn. Her aunt and uncle, Joe and Eva Albrecht, raised her. She had five brothers, Charles, Verlin, Robert, Harvey and Loren. She was raised on a farm in Wales, ND where her love of nature and music was nurtured. She possessed a natural talent for art in all forms. She played the piano and organ, loved dancing, was a wonderful painter and an exceptional gardener. She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1951. Jeanne raised four daughters to whom she passed on her love of nature. She was a caregiver who brought love and dignity into many people's lives. In her later years, her flowers were her joy and delight that she readily shared with others. Two brothers, Verlin and Harvey Albrecht and their families, survive Jeanne. She leaves a legacy of four daughters, Roxanne Hutton, her husband Mark Otterstrom, Terri Messer, Karen Hutton Rotert, her husband Kevin Rotert, Stephanie Winthrop, her husband Devon Winthrop; six beautiful grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Kiki. Mom will be sorely missed, especially at this time of year when everything is coming to life again. (Arrangements: D.W.
