Helen Sime was born on 1 Mar 1833 in Galashiels, Selkirkshire, Scotland, daughter of James Sime and Mary (Paterson) Sine.

Helen, daughter of James Sime & Mary Paterson, was born on 1 March 1833 and baptised on 20 March 1833 in Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland.^[1].

In the 1841 census Helen (age 8) was in Galashiels Darlingshaugh, Melrose, Roxburghshire.

Helen married Wm. R. Clapperton on 7 July 1859 in Ladhope, Roxburghshire, Scotland.^[3]

Helen died on 19 Feb 1902 in Stanford Hall, Gullane, Lothian, Scotland, aged 68. She is buried in Edinburgh, , City of Edinburgh, Scotland.
