Everett and Louvenia L. Simmons had another daughter, Rosena Floyd, born in June 1855. She married John Wiley Sullivan on 22 Jan 1888, and had been married 13 years, rather than the 18 years listed in the 1900 census. The 1910 census correctly stated they had been married 23 years. Rosena and John W. had 3 sons – George (b. Jun 1889), Tim (b. Oct 1894 or 1895), and Dan (b. Mar 1900). No other information has been located for George. Timothy died 5 Dec 1903 and is buried in the Sardis Cemetery in Smith County, MS. Legal documents found in the files of Lewis Rowan Floyd, Sr (Rosena"s nephew) provides the following information: John W., Rosena, and Dan moved to Montgomery County, Arkansas after the 1910 census. Per the Montgomery County, AR death certificate #983 for Mr. Jno. W. Sullivan, a white male aged 54 (21 Oct 1860 MS – 1 Feb 1914 AR), died in Womble of Malaria. He was listed as being married but no wife was named. His parents were Dan Sullivan and __ Womack, both b. Simpson County, MS. One document in the legal papers stated that Rosena died in Aug 1914 in AR. Their son, Jesse Daniel, enlisted as a volunteer in Co. K 153 Inf. in 1917 and died in action on/about 9 October 1918. More research is needed on this family.
