I wonder if Martha is actually a daughter. I have a booklet, "Southern Maryland Families," by Raymond Clark, Jr., which states a Martha Middleton (no d.o.b. listed) married Marmaduke Semmes.. She was the daughter of James and Sarah (Smith) Middleton. James was born in 1680 and died testate in Charles Co. in 1759. There is further information on his family in this booklet. Noland 588.
