Isabella Simpson was born on September 23, 1816 in York, South Carolina, United States, daughter of Joseph Simpson (1794–1827) and Rebecca Duncan (1792–1848).[1]
Isabella (15) married Edward Evans (22) (born on May 22, 1809 in Franklin County, Tennessee, United States; son of Joseph Calvin Evans and Amelia (Hawkins) Evans) on January 31, 1832 in Perry County, Alabama.[2] Their children were:
- Margaret Rebecca Evans (1833–1905)
- Louisa Elizabeth Evans (1837–1920)
- Frances Jane Evans (1838–1866)
- William Thomas Evans (1841–1910)
- Martha Irene Evans (1844–1879)
- Julia E. Evans (1847–1897)
In 1880, Isabella (63) was living with her husband, Edward, in Jewett, Leon, Texas. [3]
Isabella died on July 5, 1904 in Leon, aged 87. She was buried in Concord Cemetery, Concord, Leon County, Texas.[1]
