Biography
John Edward Simpson was born 16 Feb 1844 in Manchester. He was the fourth child of Thomas Simpson and Maria (Gillett) Simpson. His father was a fustian manufacturer.
John worked as a cotton broker, and lived in Parish for a while.
John married Ann Christian Bluett on 27 Sep 1866 in Kirk Braddan, Isle of Man.
They had one daughter, Eveline Simpson, who was born on 15 Sep 1867 in The Mount, Altricham, Cheshire.
Ann died on 29 Jan 1892 in Twickenham, London.
John died on 6 Feb 1918 in Prees, Shropshire. He was buried in Weston under Redcastle, Wem, Shropshire.
