Biography

Alexander Davidson Simpson was born on 23 July 1868 at Tarves, Aberdeenshire. He was the son of William Simpson and Annie Creighton. ^[1][2]

He married Ann Irvine at Savoch, Aberdeenshire in 1892. ^[3]

In 1901, Alexander was living at Cruden, Aberdeenshire, with his wife Ann C Simpson, and children Jane, Isabella, Alexander, Alfred G and Jemima M Simpson. He was a farm overseer, aged 32. ^[4]

Following Ann's death in 1902, Alexander married a second time to Alicia Anderson in 1903 at St Machar, Aberdeenshire. ^[5]

Alexander died in 1911 aged 42. ^[6]
